These demonstration terms must be professionally reviewed before public launch.

This is a temporary placeholder for Laa Marketplace Terms and Conditions. Full legal terms will be published before public launch. During this demonstration phase, accounts, listings, reservations and disputes are stored locally in your browser and are not legally binding.

Reservation payment and commission

Buyers pay a category-based marketplace reservation to secure an item for inspection and collection. The reservation is deducted from the advertised product price — it is not an additional charge. Minimum and maximum commission fees may apply depending on category and promotion settings. Commission is shown before publishing and recorded when a reservation is created. In demonstration mode, no real payment is processed.

Inspection before acceptance

Buyers must inspect the product before accepting it and sharing the collection code with the seller. Sharing the collection code confirms acceptance of the item in its presented condition, subject to your statutory rights where applicable.

Private seller transactions

Private sellers are individuals selling personal items. Consumer protection rules may differ from business sales. Return rights can differ between private sellers and business sellers. Marketplace terms do not remove legal consumer rights where those rights apply by law.

Business seller responsibilities

Business sellers must comply with applicable consumer protection legislation, provide accurate descriptions, and handle returns and refunds in line with statutory requirements where they apply.

Returns

Where a return is approved, a return code is issued to the buyer. The buyer must not share the return code before the seller receives the product. The seller confirms receipt by entering the return code.

Refunds

Refunds are reviewed case by case. Not every dispute results in an automatic refund. Demonstration mode does not process real refunds through a payment provider.

Disputes

Buyers who completed a transaction may open a dispute within the configured dispute window. Serious concerns such as fraud, stolen goods or safety issues should be reported to the appropriate authorities where immediate danger or crime is involved.

Commission treatment

Reservation commission starts as pending, becomes earned after a valid collection, may move to refund pending when a dispute opens, and can be refunded, protected or adjusted depending on the outcome. Existing statutory consumer rights are not removed by marketplace terms. Demonstration mode records commission adjustments locally without deducting real money. Final legal documents require professional review before public launch.
